In a rapidly evolving world, English language classrooms must do more than teach grammar and vocabulary – they must also prepare learners for the future. But what does it mean to be “future-ready,” and how can we meaningfully integrate these skills into our lesson planning? With examples from Keynote Second Edition, in this session we’ll explore what future-ready skills are, why they matter in ELT contexts, and how to embed them into lessons, and in doing so helping shape learners who are not just proficient in English, but prepared for the world beyond the classroom.
