OVERVIEW
The Science of Learning (SoL) connects contributions from cognitive sciences, particularly neuroscience and psychology, and their practical implications for the teaching-learning process. How do the brain and the mind learn and what does that knowledge mean for teachers when planning their lessons? Are there more effective ways to design lesson plans that might help our students attain better learning outcomes? In this webinar, we will look at ENGAGE-BUILD-CONSOLIDATE (EBC), a useful framework developed in line with SoL research, and how it can be applied to lesson planning and delivery. Participants will understand the basic principles of EBC, reflect on its benefits and leave the session with practical ideas of how to plan their lessons so that they can engage their students, help them build new knowledge and consolidate learning
