What hobbies do you have? Why do you do them? In this model lesson for English teachers working with young learners around the grade 3 level, we look at how we have fun with our hobbies. Using different literacies (text, visual, media, social and global literacies), we explore some new hobbies that we might try as well as discussing what value we get from the hobbies that we already do. We will also listen to National Geographic Explorer Malaika Vaz share some information about her hobbies and how they led her to the work that she does today. Come along and share ideas about your hobbies too - we can all learn more together.
