Have you ever found yourself teaching an English class and realizing your students don't showcase in a conversation the rules and content you have taught them during your classes? The answer to this conundrum may be simpler than you may have foreseen: your classes are grammar centered. To turn this situation around, you need to focus your efforts on making your classes more communicative. This session will provide you with insights that will help you understand how you can design classes in which students can communicate meaningfully and accurately.

Anderson Marcell Cárdenas holds a master’s degree in English Language Teaching with Emphasis on Autonomous Learning Environments and an ICELT from Cambridge University. He has been an academic consultant for the SED Bogotá and the British Council helping public and private institutions design, implement, and evaluate Bilingual programs. He was also the head of the international test center at Centro Colombo Bogotá coaching teachers and test takers on test-taking skills.
