Promoting critical thinking skills, not just language development, has been at the top of our list for some time now. When enhancing students' critical thinking we might not have enough evidence to support their achievement. There are now several ways of understanding the path to success. Backwards design is an approach to lesson planning that not only establishes clear lesson goals, but states desired evidence in advance to explain what students will achieve.

Through simple, practical, and motivating steps, we can plan goal-oriented lessons that result in the learning evidence we expect from students.

David Romero has always loved teaching. Having taught students at all levels and ages, David has developed a passion for teaching the English language.
