EUGENIA CORBO

CONSULTING EDITOR

OVERVIEW

Explore the building blocks to support literacy development in order to build a solid foundation for young learners of English. Children, their families, and their educators have different motivations and expectations when it comes to learning English, and learning environments and resources vary greatly among institutions. However, there are important building blocks that will help all kinds of learners in all learning environments become confident in English. We’ll look at examples from our primary series Imagine to explore ways to make lessons fun, communicative, meaningful, thorough, and relevant—all in support of literacy.
