Join us for an exciting model lesson for EAP teachers that explores how technology and social media are transforming marketing and advertising—especially as more people shop online. What influences your buying behavior today? Using authentic materials from Pathways, Third Edition, we’ll look at key factors shaping modern marketing strategies and the forces behind these changes. This session will give you ready-to-use teaching ideas, authentic resources, and interactive tasks you can immediately apply in your Listening and Speaking classroom!

As an Academic Services Consultant at National Geographic Leaning, Elaine Li holds a bachelor’s degree in English Education from South China Normal University. She also has prior experience as an English teacher and homeroom teacher in the international department of a school in Guangzhou. This experience in a multilingual environment has deepened her understanding of student development. Leveraging her practical teaching background, she has trained thousands of teachers across China and Asia in both face-to-face and online formats, while collaborating with educators to develop supportive content and implement effective teaching practices.
